The tech world is excited as Google unveiled its latest innovations and updates at the "Made by Google" event in 2023. With a focus on enhancing user experiences and pushing the boundaries of technology, Google has introduced various new products and features that promise to reshape our digital landscape. This blog will delve into the event's highlights and explore the future for Google enthusiasts and tech fans.

Google's "Made by Google" events have become synonymous with innovation and anticipation. Year after year, Google unveils a treasure trove of cutting-edge technology, leaving us in awe of what's possible in the digital age. The 2023 event was no exception and promised to redefine how we interact with technology.

  •  Google Pixel 8: The Pixel 8 adds the more advanced Google Tensor G3 chip (the next step beyond the G2 before it). There's even a new Object Temperature mode, which can tell you the temperature of a subject in an image. There's much more than just that, too, as I'll explain in the section-by-section breakdown below. A brighter screen, slightly faster-wired charging, some new shooting modes, and more: I've included bullet-pointed breakouts so you can see at a glance where the key differences are. Also, with Pixel 8, Google has covered seven years of software and security updates within Android.

  • Google Pixel 8Pro: Pixel 8 Pro removes the curved screen from its 7 Pro predecessor, instead opting to go flat, and it adds the more advanced Google Tensor G3 chip (the next step beyond the G2 before it), plus a baseline 12GB RAM in all models along with new colour variants. The cameras have also received a massive upgrade with wide and tell resolution. Pixel 8Pro has some design tweaks with slightly fast charging and the latest Gorilla Glass Victus 2 with a 6.7-inch screen.

  • Pixel Watch 2: Google doubles down on safety features on its latest wearable. The new second-generation Pixel watch offers excellent feature updates, including stress monitoring, an improved multi-path heart rate sensor, full suit of Google apps on the wrist and for runners or hikers, the new Safety Check feature is something to appreciate. Safety Check allows you to schedule a timer for specific situations where you want your friends or family to know where you are. After the timer expires, Safety Check will prompt you to confirm you're OK or if you'd like to start sharing your location or contact emergency services. If no response is received, Safety Check will trigger Emergency Sharing, which shares your real-time location and situation with your pre-selected emergency contacts. You can also use Emergency Sharing with contacts for a designated amount of time so your loved ones can see your real-time whereabouts or enable Medical Info to share personal health information with emergency services, like blood type, allergies, or conditions.

  • Google Pixel Buds Pro: The new wireless earbuds are getting a massive upgrade with unique new features. The main one is the Clear Calling, which has been improved to reduce background noise and enhance voices for earlier listening automatically. The Pixel Buds Pro will also be among the first to utilise Bluetooth Super Wide Band technology, which uses twice the bandwidth of previous models, capturing modern data to help you hear more clearly. It's not just calling which gets a boost, either. Auto-pause and transparency mode are new features which will sense when you're talking. It will then pause whatever you're listening to and turn the Transparency mode on so you can freely have a conversation without removing your earbuds. Last but not least, Google also announced a latency reduction of up to 50%. That's massive for gamers, who will be especially keen to have latency-free, accurate audio when playing.
